Bat-stravaganza is by advance ticket sale only
It starts 6:00 PM Wednesday July 28th at Alabaster Caverns State Park (ACSP)
(The last cavern tour starts at 5:00 PM--there is a $5 to $8 fee payable to (ACSP) for the tour
Bat-stravaganza will start with a "sandwiches & ice cream social" and concludes at approximately 10:00 PM
You will be escorted to the bat-viewing area from and back to ACSP.

Aside from the trail and viewing areas, the bat-viewing site is in its natural state.
There is a short, 1/4-mile, nature walk led by biologists and trained volunteers to the bat -viewing area

RULES & GUIDELINES
Safety of visitors and protection of the bats are of the utmost importance. State laws protect the bats, the cave and its environs.
Adults must accompany children and make sure they follow the rules.
If you see something interesting, point it out to a guide, do not pick it up.
Dress for the outdoors (sturdy shoes - no sandals) and for the heat. Consider wearing long pants to protect your legs from brush and snakes.
Visitors must remain inside the mowed viewing area boundaries.
The area is closed to the public except during official events. Visitors at any other time are trespassing.

PLEASE CONSIDER:
• There are no flush toilets, but there is a port-a-potty
* There is no running water, but we provide drinking water
* The nature trail is level, but not paved
* No smoking, the area is a prairie and at a high fire risk
* Rattlesnake encounters are possible
* Children must be age 8 or older due to the length of the bat watch, minimal facilities and safety issues.

• Non-registered people
• Pets
